Think It’ll Take Forever To Earn The Big Bucks As A Writer?

Think again.

Hey Freelancer:

How many times has this happened to you?

You slave over an article… researching, reading, outlining, writing, editing, searching for the right market.

By the time you add everything together, you’ve probably got around ten hours invested in every article you write. And that’s not counting crafting the brilliant query you need to sell the piece. You can easily spend an hour or two tooling a query that may or may not hit pay dirt.

And if that article's accepted, you'll probably have to make editorial changes to it.

How long'll that take? Couple more hours? Day or so?

Thing is, you never know.

But let's get back on track: the saddest part of this scenario is that after all your work, you can expect to get paid anywhere from zip, zero, nada (ah, but you get that big, sweet byline, right?!?) to an average of around 50 bucks for that article. And that's if you’re lucky.

Just try calculating how many articles you’d have to produce each week to make a half-way decent wage on that project.

Heck, I'd hate to calculate how many articles you'd have to write just to earn the current measly minimum wage.

It’s discouraging. It feels brutal.

After all your hard work, no matter how hard you try, it feels like writers don’t make much money. And to make matters worse, it feels as though many writers believe that they ought to live in dingy hovels while "suffering" for their craft.

And just a couple facts seem to bear out this stereotype. I’ll bet you didn’t know that most part-time freelance writers earn only a few thousand dollars per year.

A few thousand bucks! Try paying the bills with those lousy numbers.

The wage outlook isn’t much better for most full-time writers either — especially if you live in a rural area. Read salary reports (on a site such as http://salary.com) for newbie newspaper reporters and you’ll find out that many of them qualify for federal food-stamp money.

That just makes me angry because it doesn’t have to be that way.

Now You Can Earn Your Six-Figure Freelance Income.

It's Easier Than You Think…

If you know the secrets.

Beth Ann Erickson’s Book, Jumpstart Your Writing Career, and Snag Paying Assignments, will give you everything you need to kick your writing career into high gear and start earning the wage you deserve.

Written in an easy-to-read style, Jumpstart starts by revealing exactly what you need to begin your new life as a profitable writer.

You’ll learn how to…

  • Find the time you need to write  so you'll never have to fear deadlines again (See page 12).
  • Running out of ideas? You won’t after you read page 14.
  • Avoid deadly distractions that can squash your creativity and choke your output by reading page 18.
  • Up your chances of getting published by a reputable publisher. Just read page 24.

In Part II of Jumpstart, you’ll tweak your writing skills until they become razor sharp… in fact, you’ll make your writing positively sparkle. Here’s what you’ll walk away with:

  • Publishers despise certain words. Find out which ones on page 32.
  • On page 34 you’ll discover what part of speech you need to totally cut out of your manuscripts. :)
  • KISS complicated writing "goodbye" by reading page 37.
  • Confused about apostrophes and possessives? (Or maybe you don’t have a CLUE what these are. Beth unravels the (not so difficult) mystery on pages 44 – 45.)
  • What’s wrong with this sentence…………………… don’t know…? Find the answer on page 52.
  • If you want to write like a rank amateur, don’t read page 55. Seriously.
  • Learn a specific writing technique that will make your writing far more marketable on page 59.

Now that you’ve developed a fine writer’s mentality in Part I and your writing skills are top notch (thanks to Part II), you’re ready to start earning the big bucks. Section III takes off the gloves and gets you ready to…

Start Landing The Lucrative Assignments

Here’s what you’ll learn:

  • Tackle the most lucrative branch of writing. After you learn this secret, you’ll have plenty of time to work on your "Great American Novel." (Page 63)
  • Page 74 reveals the most powerful secret successful writers fiercely guard. They use it to make their writing profitable and timely.
  • Guess what the most powerful word in the English language is. Answer’s on page 76.
  • Read page 85 to find out how to organize your nonfiction articles to make editors leap at the chance to publish them.

Many authors believe that writing fiction can't produce a nice income stream. They're dead wrong.

  • On page 86, you’ll learn fiction secrets that will make your novel shine brighter than your competition, help you generate tons of word-of-mouth advertising, and get buyers banging on your door.
  • After you read page 104, your queries will hit pay dirt… over and over again.
  • Page 111 will help you accumulate more clips than you’ll know what to do with.
  • Page 123 reveals FOURTEEN ways to promote your writing business for little or no money.
  • The economy’s rough. Great news for you. Read page 127.

The final section of this must-have writing title will give you the encouragement to hang in there for the long haul. Find out why what you write today will endure for (what could be) an incredibly long time. Also, discover how you can bring a sense of passion to every writing assignment you accept.

If that isn’t enough, you’ll also receive dozens of writing prompts that will keep your journal fresh for a very long time. Beth’s also included the best writing resources available today.

"Jumpstart Your Writing Career" Will Ratchet Your Writing Career Into High Gear

"I honestly used every one of these methods to make a good living as a freelance writer… and I live in the middle of nowhere! If I can make a living in this crazy business, anyone can," Erickson says.
